Project Highlights from 2025

This was a banner year for generosity. Each organization the Moline Regional Community Foundation works with does incredible work in the community. These are just a small sample of the many projects your giving was able to fund in 2025.

“Our partnership with MRCF has been transformative, strengthening both our financial stability and our historic building,” says Kirk Marske, Library Development Manager Executive Director of the German American Heritage Center and Museum. “Our 164-year-old building required urgent roof repairs, a capital grant from the Moline Regional Community Foundation allowed us to protect its historic integrity, preserve important artifacts, and continue serving as a place of education and inspiration.”

Another highlight was the development of the Moline Public Library Gardens. “Through our endowment with the Moline Regional Community Foundation, we were able to make the Moline Library Gardens a reality,” says Callahan Herrig, Library Development Manager. “This multi-year long project became a beloved community asset that will be utilized for years to come.”

Beyond preserving history and cultivating culture, your generosity also touches people directly in vital ways. Your generosity helped fund multiple scholarships to change the lives of these scholarship recipients, as well as the communities these students come from and will give back to for generations to come.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Center West End Revitalization project saw your giving help many people on a personal level. “The MidAmerican Power Up pilot reduced energy costs and improved building performance,” says Resource Development Manager Rebecca Arnold. This project in Rock Island’s West End helps homeowners, and business owners build a brighter future with a cleaner environment.
