AFP-QC CONFERENCE

In April, 130 fundraising professionals from more than 70 nonprofits gathered for the AFP-QC Success in Fundraising Conference.

The entire day was full of energy and inspiration, with so many leaders coming together to share ideas about how to improve our shared community.

Moline Regional Community Foundation was a proud sponsor and participant, every participant received a book by keynote speaker Mallory Erickson, courtesy of MRCF. As the AFP-QC posted on their Facebook page, Erickson’s presentation, “truly blew people away.”

Other organizations participating in this wonderful day were Quad Cities Community Foundation, Birdies for Charity, Wastyn & Associates, with Wezz De La Rosa Photography capturing the spirit in images!

DISCOVER THE EXTRA IN MERCER COUNT

The Aledo Opera House was the place to be on March 10th . . . at least until the tornado sirens went off!

Mercer County Forever Fund sponsored the event “Discover the Extra in Mercer County” with special guest Andrew McCrea, an Oscar-winning TV & radop broadcaster.

Thankfully the tornado sirens did not lead to tornado damage, and it was a wonderful night for all who came out.

The Mercer County Forever Fund provides annual distributions at the suggestion and recommendation of the Mercer County Advisory Committee, a task force of community leaders. Events like this and your generosity make a real impact in the community.

SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCED

It is with great pleasure to announce this year’s scholarship recipients! Moline Regional Community Foundation is honored to support the donors who established these awards, representing a collective investment of $108,000 in the future of local students.

“Each scholarship carries a unique story, a legacy of generosity, purpose, and hope. These scholarships serve to recognize and encourage scholars as they pursue their educational and career aspirations.” -Krisan Steiger, Goodness Advocate

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Moline Regional Community Foundation has seen incredible growth in the last few years. The key to our growth is your generosity. Your continued commitment to improving the quality of life in the community you love is awe inspiring.

The Foundation also benefits from state initiatives such as Illinois Gives. This program allows individual taxpayers to claim up to $100,000 in tax credits, equating to a $400,000 donation. Whether you are an Illinois resident or not, paying Illinois income tax makes you eligible to claim the tax credit. It is designed to be inclusive, ensuring everyone contributing to the Illinois community can benefit.

MRCF welcomes the new growth and bloom of spring. It is a reminder of the beauty within our community — a community that continues to grow and thrive because of your Giving in Action.
