NEW WEBSITE

To better serve the community, the Moline Regional Community Foundation website received a refresh and redesign. Whether you are a donor, advisor, or a nonprofit partner, you will find the new site easy to navigate.

The new website is not merely about creating fresh aesthetics, it’s about creating a digital space that highlights your giving in action. It’s a place where you can learn about what is happening at the Foundation and see the impact of your generosity throughout the community.

With this in-mind, you will see inspiring images of local people and local organizations all working to make our community a better place.

Please enjoy and reach out with any thoughts.

CONGRATULATIONS TORI!

Victoria “Tori” Rodgers has been promoted to Finance & Grants Administrator for the Moline Regional Community Foundation. This is a promotion and an expanded role for Tori.

“Tori’s financial expertise has allowed her to help our donors understand how to maximize their generosity,” says MRCF President / CEO Paul Plagenz. “With her expanded role, she will be able to provide donors important information on the wonderful work and impact of our nonprofit partners.”

Tori has served the Foundation as the Finance Administrator, and now adds Grants to her role. She will handle all aspects of grants administration, including process builds, applicant inquiries, and coordination.

“I look forward to building relationships with the nonprofit community and enhancing the grant applicant process,” says Tori. “In my dream world, my role would be obsolete as nonprofits would be fully funded.”

IT STARTED WITH A SWAN

The Swan who launched the Moline Regional Community Foundation did not have wings, yet he remains an angel of giving in our community. Robert K. Swan was a successful businessperson who was the owner of Moline Heating & Construction Company. According to the late local historian Roald Tweet, Swan was a quiet and unassuming man. He never married, no one knew if he went to college, and after he passed away, no one could even find a single photo of him. Yet, Swan had a dream for his hometown of Moline and a dream for our community.

GRANT PORTAL IS OPEN

Grants Reflect Your Passion

As a donor, grants reflect what’s important to preserve and build to provide a better life for our community. They give you the opportunity to direct your generosity to the specific areas or organizations which mean the most to you. At the Moline Regional Community Foundation (MRCF), there are several types of funds you can establish to start seeing your Giving in Action.

Grant Examples

Last year, more than $1.7 million was granted to area nonprofits who work every day to improve our community. As an example, these financial awards helped feed the hungry, assisted seniors, provided educational opportunities, and helped our neighbors in need.

Organizations like Midwest Hope & Healing, Jr. Board of Rock Island, and the East Moline Community Fund are some of the many groups of people who partner with MRCF. Please take a look at their grant-making and prepare to be inspired.
