What Fund is Right for You?

When deciding to establish an endowment at the Moline Regional Community Foundation, you have many options.

Types of Funds

Donor Advised Funds are a convenient and flexible way to give. You make a tax-deductible gift now, and in the future, you can recommend grants while your money is invested and growing.

When you have a specific charitable organization close to your heart, a Designated Endowment Fund may be the right choice. You choose specific nonprofits to receive a portion of your invested earnings.

A Field of Interest Fund could be the choice for you if you have a specific cause you care deeply about, yet you don’t want to limit your giving to a single nonprofit. Perhaps you played violin when you were young and want everyone to have the opportunity to have a musical education, regardless of means. A fund focused on the arts may be the right choice.

If education is important to you, a Scholarship Endowment Fund allows you to support the next generation of community leaders. You decide the criteria then you enjoy your giving in action for generations to come.

A Nonprofit Partner Fund might be the right fund if you wish a particular nonprofit to benefit from your generosity. Benefits to the nonprofit include professional investment management, minimal administrative burdens, and flexible annual revenue.

If you don’t have a specific fund in mind, and you just want to give back to your community, an Unrestricted Fund may be for you. You’ll get to support your communitys evolving needs over time. The only requirement is love for your community, and everyone can get behind that.
